Thomas L Jones

Thomas L. Jones, 88, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Ochsner St. Mary, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born September 14, 1933, in Columbia Co. Arkansas, the son of Malcom Jones and Velma Talley Jones.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Fannie Smith Jones of Bayou Vista; one son, Keith Jones and wife Jenny of Garden City; one daughter, Paula Renee Clarkin and husband Jim of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Brenda Waller and Mary Johnson; four grandchildren, Jessica Samuels and husband Nathan, Katie Bourgeois and husband Brandon, Brittany Fontenot and husband Coty, Abbi Duval and husband Tim; 10 great-grandchildren, Logan, Kaden, Kyla, Kaylee, Madison, Miles, Harlie, Brody, Addison, and Aleena.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Malcom and Velma Jones; one brother, Stanley; two sisters, Frances and Margie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Morgan City with Bro. Tracy Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at First Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Thomas will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
