Wade Anthony Rhodes, 55 entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2017 at Tech Regional Medical center. Wade was born on March 17, 1962, in Morgan City, the son of Russel Rhodes and Audrey Wade was a native of Morgan city who worked on our local waterways early in life and moved on to carpentry work later. While "on the boat" he navigated vessels through our twin bridges many times. As a carpenter, he leaves our city with many homes, additions to homes, and repairs that he has touched. Wade at times could only offer you a smile, but in those times, he was more than willing to give it. He was a man of a generous heart and would give every possession to people who were less fortunate. For those that knew him the closest will miss him telling the stories of his life. He had four true loves; two pooches, Sunshine and DeeDee he alos enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed by many and forever loved by his family. Wade leaves behind a wife, Florence “Pat” Rhodes; two children, Benny Rhodes of Opelousas, LA, Heidi Rhodes of Pollock, LA; two step children, Jason Hall of Dickerson, TX, Haley Provost of Spring, TX; 8 grandchildren, Rylie Cline, Kylee Rhodes, Kayden Rhodes, Jorden, Nikolas, Destiny, Damion and Piper; three sisters, Amy Rhodes of Lafayette, LA, Ann Aucoin of Patterson, LA and Tabitha Rhodes of Carencro, LA Wade also leaves behind a spiritual brother, Lewis Ganaway of Berwick, LA, to which the family extends heartfelt thanks for being in Wade's life.Wade joined in eternal peace; his Father, Russell Rhodes, his Mother, Audrey Rhodes and his Brother, Owen Rhodes. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
