Zachariah “Zack” Marshall Tabor, 82, a resident of Amelia, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Zack was born March 1, 1939, in Morgan City, the son of Joseph Vernin Tabor and Meda Mary Tabor.
Zack served in the United Sates Army for 2 years as Dental Specialist. He worked as a commercial fisherman his whole life, and enjoyed the work every day; fishing and crabbing was not only a job, but a passion.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Rufus Tabor, Henry “Bud” Tabor and wife Nilda, both of Amelia; two nieces, Marlin Pierce and Star Theriot; two nephews, Antonio Mejia and wife Nicole Perry and Scott Tabor; three great-nephews, Jacob Pierce, Eli and Emmett Mejia.
Zack was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Meda Tabor; six siblings, Henry Tabor, Roland Tabor, John Tabor, C.J. Tabor, Carrie Crawfrord, and Bertha Rink.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Gibson Baptist Cemetery.
